In honor of September being Emergency Preparedness Month, our team is going to each of our 13 counties to educate seniors the importance of being prepared for emergencies.
Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) shares: “Emergencies can happen at any time. Tennessee faces hazards including tornadoes, severe storms, flooding, wildfires, winter weather, extreme heat, and earthquakes. Being prepared can help keep you, your family, and your community safe.”
Members from our Aging and Disability department put together 13 emergency preparedness buckets, that will be given away to one senior at each senior center. We are gracious for contributions from Tractor Supply Company (Hohenwald), Volunteer Hospice, and Red Hill Market.
