Jaley began her journey with the Tennessee Youth Employment Program (TYEP) at just 15 years old when she was hired by Advanced Designed Solutions (ADS) in 2023. ADS, a Lawrence County manufacturer, gave Jaley her first opportunity to gain hands-on workplace experience while learning valuable professional and technical skills.

When Jaley first joined ADS, she focused on personnel-related tasks and developing foundational office skills. From the beginning, she demonstrated one of the most important qualities an employee can have — dependability. With the support of family and friends who helped provide transportation, Jaley consistently showed up ready to learn and contribute.
As her experience grew, so did her responsibilities. Over time, Jaley expanded her skill set to include data tracking, Microsoft Excel, accounting support, inventory management, and many other aspects of manufacturing operations. Her willingness to learn and take on new challenges allowed her to gain firsthand experience in the day-to-day workings of a manufacturing facility.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Jaley recently celebrated another major milestone — graduating from Lawrence County High School. Today, she continues to work with ADS and credits the opportunity she received through TYEP as more than just a job — it became the foundation for her career.
This fall, Jaley plans to attend University of North Alabama while continuing to build on the skills and experience she gained through the Tennessee Youth Employment Program.
