SHIP/SMP Volunteer Appreciation and Training Update

On Friday, April 11, 2025, the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) Program convened a Volunteer Appreciation and Training Update event at the South Central Tennessee Development District (SCTDD). This event provided an essential opportunity to recognize and commend the invaluable contributions of our dedicated volunteers, whose efforts are instrumental in extending our services to all 13 counties within our district. The SHIP/SMP Program is committed to offering free and impartial assistance regarding Medicare inquiries and issues. The success of this initiative is largely attributable to the tireless work of our volunteers, who play a critical role in communicating vital information to the community. During the event, attendees participated in informative sessions that included updates on program developments and training aimed at enhancing their ability to assist Medicare beneficiaries effectively. Through this collaborative effort, we strive to ensure that all individuals receive the necessary support for their Medicare-related concerns, further strengthening our commitment to community service and outreach.
