Introduction

The South Central Tennessee Development District (SCTDD) Brand Kit provides official assets and guidelines to ensure consistent, accurate representation of our organization across all communications and media platforms.

At South Central Tennessee Development District, we empower communities by enhancing quality of life, serving 13 counties across southern Middle Tennessee. These standards help maintain a unified identity across the region and ensure SCTDD is represented clearly and professionally by staff, partners, and stakeholders.

LOGOS

The following logos are approved for use in official SCTDD communications. Please download the appropriate format for your intended use.

Available formats include PNG, SVG, and JPG for both digital and print applications.

LOGO USAGE GUIDELINES

To maintain brand consistency, please follow these guidelines when using SCTDD logos.

Approved Usage:

  • Use only official logo files provided by SCTDD
  • Maintain original proportions and spacing
  • Use approved color variations only
  • Ensure adequate contrast with background

Do Not:

  • Stretch, distort, or alter the logo in any way
  • Change colors outside of approved brand palette
  • Add shadows, outlines, or effects
  • Place logo on visually cluttered backgrounds

Clear Space:

Always maintain sufficient clear space around the logo to ensure visibility and impact. The logo should never appear crowded or obstructed.

Neutral Colors:

  • Charcoal Gray

Usage Notes:

Primary colors should be used for key branding elements, while neutral tones support readability and layout balance.

Official Fonts

Typography plays a key role in maintaining SCTDD’s professional and consistent identity.

Primary Font (Headings):
Libre Baskerville
Used for titles, headings, and formal emphasis.

Secondary Font (Body):
Garet
Used for general body copy, digital content, and communications.

Accent Font (Subheadings):
Crimson Pro
Used for subheadings, highlights, or editorial-style content.

Writing Style:

  • Use clear, direct language
  • Prioritize facts, outcomes, and impact
  • Maintain a formal but approachable tone
  • Use third-person references (e.g., “SCTDD staff”) when appropriate

Preferred Language:

  • “SCTDD staff”
  • “the District”
  • “regional partners”

Avoid:

  • Overly casual or informal language
  • Internal jargon without explanation
  • First-person references in public-facing content
