Industrial Board of Coffee County Announces a New Plant and an Expansion of an Existing Industry
April 20, 2005

From Press Release:
Bill Comer, Chairman, Industrial Board of Coffee County, TN, joins with Claire Kuo, President of SEYI Presses, in announcing plans for constructing a new plant facility in the Coffee County Joint Industrial Park.

SEYI Presses, a subsidiary of Shieh Yih Machinery Industrial Co. LTD., the largest publicly traded press builder in Taiwan, and one of the world's leading press builders that sells presses in over 40 countries.  In volume terms it is the top 1 of presses built and sold around the world.  SEYI Presses currently imports its presses to its California and Nashville offices.  The new plant targeted for completion before the end of 2005 will serve as the sales office, service center and final assembly/inspection facility for all presses sold in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

SEYI Presses is completing the final two stages of development of their multi-year program for expansion and centralization in Coffee County, Tennessee for sales, service and assembly.  While the first few years involved opening facilities in Los Angeles, California and Nashville, Tennessee, the last two stages of the project will see building a new facility, centralizing all command and control functions for service and sales at the Coffee County site by the end of 2005.  The last stage of the project will see the ability to assemble, service and manufacture come to fruition.  The final stage will ultimately allow complete manufacturing of the worlds best selling press in Tennessee.

The Tennessee facility will relieve pressure on SEYI's two other existing plants that are running up to maximum production levels in what is a historical multi year growth trajectory for the company.
