The SOUTH CENTRAL TN AREA AGENCY ON AGING & DISABILITY is the organization designated by the Tennessee Commission on Aging & Disability to develop a comprehensive and coordinated community based system in South Central Tennessee to serve and represent people who are 60 years of age or older and disabled persons 18 years of age and older. The role of the AAAD is to serve as advocates for the elderly and disabled population and to establish awareness of this role before the public and other organizations.

The Area Agency's mission is to assure that the 60+ population and the 18+ disabled population, in this thirteen county district, have the opportunity to realize their full potential and to participate completely in community life, work opportunities, and to receive appropriate support services as needed to maintain their independence as long as possible.
